According to the health and safety act and DME regulations, any maintenance and calibration carried out on gas instrumentation on a mine must be done by a person that is trained and certified by the OEM on a yearly basis.
Cat A: General Use, maintenance & Calibration Course. Duration: 1 Day (09H00-15H00) Venue: Schauenburg Training Centre Cat B: Lampsman-Minor Repairs Duration: 3 Days (09H00-15H00) Venue: Schauenburg Training Centre Cat C: Lampsman Technician-Major Repairs Duration: 3 Days (09H00-15H00) Venue: Schauenburg Training Centre Cat D: Senior Instructor Duration: 1 Day (09H00-15H00) Venue: Schauenburg Training Centre Certificates will be awarded to individuals who pass theoretical & Practical examinations Only. Individuals who wish to apply for the Cat B & Cat C courses, are required to have the basic electronic knowledge or practical experience.
